Freelance Writing
For Teachers
June 23 and 30
7 p.m. EDT on Zoom
Transform your expertise into published writing that pays
When the last grade has been filed and chairs stacked in the empty classroom, it’s time to let out a collective exhale, and do something for yourself.
If you’ve ever dreamed of using your way with words to start a flexible side business, you might be closer than you think. The ability to write freelance for paying publications, gives you the opportunity to build a flexible income stream guided by your own intellectual curiosity.
More than that, your voice is needed now more than ever.
The truth is that as a teacher, many of the skills and expertise that you already possess are highly valuable to editors and translate easily into writing for publication.
Freelance Writing for Teachers is designed to help you do just that. You’ll learn from both sides of the publication process, guided by a former-teacher-turned-freelance journalist and a seasoned commissioning editor with experience in newspaper, magazine, and book publishing.
